Malaysian Singer & Songwriter Josh Yeoh has a heart is to see a generation crying out for purpose reached through music. Josh’s debut album, “Is Anyone Out There”, is an expression of this desire. Featuring 11 original songs written over the course of the past five years in Josh’s adopted home of Northfield, MN, this project introduces listeners to Josh’s original sounds, from intimate piano-driven melodies to rock anthems and smooth jazz.
Josh’s love affair with all styles of music began early on in his life. When he was two, after small group meetings at his parents’ home, Josh would plonk the melody of worship choruses on their little electronic keyboard. Much of his music education was from growing up in church: Josh played on the kids, youth, and finally, at age 12, the adult worship teams. Josh started leading worship at age 15 and soon after began writing worship songs for his home church congregation in Malaysia.
The college years saw Josh traveling halfway across the world to the town of ‘cows, colleges and contentment’ to pursue a degree in Psychology and Cross-Cultural Studies at Carleton College. The people and experiences he encountered during the four years in Northfield would ultimately influence the style and content of his songs. While recording a CD of his own has been one of Josh’s dreams for a while, it wasn’t until the year after his graduation that doors began to open. A few months, 11 tracks, and a couple thousand dollars later, he released his debut album “Is Anyone Out There”.

Their debut album, also entitled “Ocean of Fire” consists of 11 of their original songs and a Christmas Medley. Their music is generally loud and will appeal to Rock Music lovers. Some songs like Ctl Alt Dlt and Sea Shell have a touch of jazz. Critical Strike, Arch Angel, River dance & Non Classical Nonsense are in their unique Rock Fusion style. They also recorded a Christmas Medley is a Rock Style. One can only imagine how they have transformed traditional Christmas songs into a Rock Fusion genre. Non- rock music lovers may find their album loud but any good musician must admire their amazing guitar skills. The lead guitarist and band leader Kelvyn Yeang’s performed his guitars with precision and speed. With this release, Kelvyn Yeang is emerging to be one of the top lead guitarists in Malaysia.

His recent release Child of God was recorded in Singapore and produced by Mandarin pop arrangers Martin Tang, Kenn C and Jonathan Koh. This album features Christian songs written by GTLim in Hokkien. This is his third Hokkien album, the other nine are in Mandarin. He began writing songs as a university student in New Zealand in 1988. It was with his fifth album, Hold My Hand that gave GTLim a breakthrough. The title track, a Hokkien song about trusting in God, became a hit here, and in Singapore and Indonesia.
Lim, who has been channeling proceeds from his albums to his church or charity, will always see himself as a pastor first. “Singing is a secondary calling. Whenever the two clash, singing has to give way,” he said.

This album is a testimony God’s provision because she had only 3 songs when she embarked on the project. As she took a step of faith to produce this album, the Lord continued to inspire her to write another 3 songs. Each song had a story to tell. By the time she compiled all the songs, she noticed that the theme that runs through the whole album is on God’s unfailing love. Thus, the appropriateness of the title “Melodi Cinta” which means “Melodies of Love”.
Calling herself a “songwriter as inspired by God”, her desire is to see a great multitude of people from every nation, tribe, people and language standing before the throne of the Lord to worship Him.

Diana Wee
Diana is a young singer and composer who has just recently came in to the music industry. This Taiping-born girl now living in Kajang has been singing for as long as she can remember. She credits her love for music to her music loving family.
All through her years, she has been actively singing in church, her school choir as the conductor, and in university functions. All this, without any formal vocal training or exposure. She started composing songs at the age of 16, inspiration coming to her while just sitting at the piano. Little did she know that these songs would someday be compiled into an album. A turning point in her life was when she sang a self-composed song at a friend's wedding. Soon after, invitations started flooding in, and she sang at several other weddings and public functions such as The Lutheran World Federation Night in PJ Hilton, Youth Celebration in New Era College, and Christmas Celebration of 2002, and 2003 in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Her debut album, Your Love Remains, consists of 16 songs, all composed and sang by herself. This is not just her debut album into the music industry but also a window into the formal world of music. Her songs are an expression of her feelings, a response to the situations that she is in, about her faith, hope and passion.
