  WAH LOK'S WORSHIP DEVOTIONS

Wah Lok

Welcome to my devotional page. I have written these devotions specially for those involved in the worship ministry. As you read them daily, I hope you will walk closer with God. Try to do one devotion per day and not all at one go. I pray my devotional thoughts will help you dedicate your music to God.

DAY 34 - KEEP THE MAIN THING THE MAIN THING

Scripture Reading: Luke 10:38-42

Luke 10:38-42
38 Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word. 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me." 41 And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. 42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her."

Discussion

Have you been too busy recently that you forgot that spending time in God's presence should be a priority ? Some of us are too busy serving God. Jesus had the same words for Martha. Martha was busy serving Jesus while Mary was content to sit at His feet to listen to His words and worship Him. Jesus told Martha "One thing is needed and Mary has chosen the good part".

Do an evaluation of your time today. Have you been neglecting the "one thing" which is needed on your life ? Revive your quiet time in God's presence again today. Spend time in prayer and worship. Keep the main thing the main thing.

"Many are busy. Some are busy bodies but few are busy in prayer" ……Wah Lok
